i have had my sirus setup for a while now, but am still getting engine noise, on the amp it has a built in filter ( i guess) it says filter and then has a setting to low-off-high and below that has a level nob,, lost the instructions does anyone have an idea where the filter setting & level nob needs to be set at,,if that dosent get rid of noise i will have to relocate ground,,,since 95% of noise comes through the ground...thanks

What kind of amp is it? The filter might be more like a crossover than an external noise filter.

Couldn't find anything either. Must not exactly be a name brand.

I have a shark 100w with fm that I have had about 18mo. Mine does not have a filter setting option.
I know that does not help any at all.
Thanks for your time

Sometimes rerouting the amp wires away from the bikes wiring, especially the coil wires helps eliminate the interference.

yea, i think it time to rewire it, i installed it a year ago,, so maybe back then in my haste i routed it next to the coil and picking up noise from that or i just play with the ground,,its not bad, but i'm anal when comes to noise like that
