About 4 years ago I first took notice of the Nomad and it's awesome looks. Over the years since, I have read highly favorable articles and have been to the dealerships and have 4 or 5 brochures to salivate over. Last October I took 3 new 96 c.i. Harley's out for demos in Daytona. I also took out a new Vulcan 1600 Classic. This year a local bike shop had 3 used bikes that I compared and rode. 2005 Road King, 2005 Nomad, 2006 Road Star. The used Nomad was much smoother, handled better, and felt more powerful. That was it. I had to have her. And now I do. Brand new 2007. This machine has got to be one of the best out there for the money. Yeah, I'm braggin.

I have loved mine from day 1. If I buy another bike, it will be to move to a 1600 and newer. It is one sweet ride!

Look at Gadgets page ( or is it on Trips site? I forgot)
There is a comparison between a Harley-Davidson Road King, Yamaha Royal Star with the V-4 motor and the Nomad.
It is a 05 test and the Nomad really did well. The article was good as it really highlighted the strengths and faults of each bike. Then you can compare the bikes to how YOU ride.
Which is why we bought the Nomad! after the comparisons for the riding the wife and I do, the Nomad won hands down.
Congrats on the bike and be safe.
