Close encounters of the furry kind

Saturday morning at 6:45 a.m. I was cruising south on MN Hwy 95 about 3 miles north of the Boom Site and a deer came tearing out of the woods from my left. I was cruising at about 70 so I had to grab all the brake I could and dropped down to about 40 when the first deer crossed a few inches in front of me. The second deer was on a collision course with me and successfully skidded enough so it went a few inches behind me. WHEW!!
I would like to think it was my cat like reflexes and my superior motorcycle handling skills that saved my ass but I suspect the truth is I was just dumb ass lucky. Be careful out there guys.
