Bike show

I'm headed to the Montreal bike show on Friday with a few friends. One of them has hinted that he may be looking for a new bike, but doesn't know what he wants.
This should be fun, one of the other guys going thinks he was responsible for me buying my Nomad at a previous show. I had looked at the Nomad 3 years ago with my wife and wanted one, so it was not hard to twist my arm. Buying me a couple of beers and saying "Lets go back and look at the bike you are going to buy" among other prompts on his part was all it took. The rest of the convincing I did to myself.
I see a repeat performance coming. If my other Friend is going to buy something, I naturally will recommend a Nomad, but as I just sold him my v-star last year, I really need to remain a spectator and not an instigator. Like I said, this should be fun.

We did have a good time. After spending considerable time checking bikes out, My buddy who was sort of bike shopping declared that the harleys were disappointing and he narrowed his choice down to a Nomad and one of the yammies. The dealer I bought from was there and offered him a new 2009 Nomad for $13,500 Cdn, throwing in two helmets to boot. I thought that was a pretty good price, but in the end after much hesitating my buddy decided to wait. Obviously we did not feed him enough beer!

He should have jumped on it, because that price was show price only quoted by one of the owners of the dealership. He went to the dealer the other week and could not get anywhere close to that price with one of the salesmen.
