Turning radius?
Hello all again . I have built myself a 10x16 shed. I want to know if I drive the bike into the shed, will I be able to turn it around in the shed without a dolly? If not, has anyone purchased a dolly for their bike and had good experiences with it that they could share.
Thanks in advance.

The bike is 98 inches long so I think turning it in a 10 foot wide shed would be a handful but it probably could be done. An Idaho Jack adapter plus a motorcycle jack would be an option but an awful lot of work every time you want to turn the bike around. If it were me and I had to turn the bike around I would be buying a drive on dolly. Sorry no experience with one.

I don't think you can make a u turn in there, but you might make a K turn ok maybe. I take it reverse is busted?

The bay that I park mine isn't much bigger then that and we park 2 bikes in it.
What I do is I back it in so when it's time to leave I just drive out. The bay that I do work on the bikes, is about 10 x 14 and I manage to turn it by doing a 3 point turn. |

I think backing it in is the right idea also, unless you like making a ten point turn in the shed.

You drive in by the right side as close as you can and you direct you front wheel to the left hand side corner in a really sharp turn. Then lock the bars right and backup. It is tight but doable Hint, you will need to lean the bike to the left when completing 3rd point ::) |

Its certainly doable, but its also an easy way to put scratches on the bike. Don't ask how I found that out for myself.

It may help with the marriage, but it wouldn't do much for the nice gouge I installed. ;)

Well there is another way. Wax the hell out of the floor and with the ft wheel dead center in the only not waxed place spin up some RPM's and let go of the clutch quick! Spin he bike in place making big donut
That is more a don't do this at home thing, but it might work after you get the method down. If you try this and crash right thru the shed wall, and dump the bike I am not responcible

I think Gadgits page has a turntable you can mount. Drive it in and spin it around.

I would suggest just backing it in if that is possible. I park mine in a carport and the carport is higher than my driveway. I can't back it in but when I get ready to ride I hop on and back it out and make a 90 degree turn and then pull on to the driveway and away I go.
