Antifreeze overflow
Got back home from running errands, several stops w/ a lot of slow driving from place to place. Took some things into the house, went back out to the bike, and saw I had a small pool, maybe 2-3 oz of antifreeze from the overflow tube behind the motor. Never happened before that I am aware of but I've only had her a couple of months Any cause for concern?

I had the same problem a while ago. I replaced the rad cap and that solved the problem.

The dreaded radiator can. The cap is like a fuse, BANG its not good anymore. Over heating, loosing coolant, and if you loose enough the sensor can produce erratic signals due to air in the system.
The cap is the first place I'd check, the thermostat will be right there should you need to go that fat. Don't just change it, check it first. Yeap, go or no-go, nothing in between. After that we'll all take a deep breath......... Login or Register to Remove Ads |
