Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?
We did 250 miles in the endless mountains of Pa. The farther from home the nicer it was :)

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?
Rode to Eunice, LA to watch and listen to local musicians playing and singing French/Cajun music at Savoy Music Center. What a treat! This is the home of the Cajun Accordian musical instrument. I snapped a bunch of pictures of the performers and will post them later. Too tired to fool with them now. We had a great time even though I was the only one riding. The rest were a gang of women in cages. Ate lunch at Rocky's Cajun Cafe in Eunice. I got soaked about 60 miles from home on the return trip this evening. I didn't stop to put on the rain gear because it looked like I was going to miss the thunderstorm. Well, a couple of curves on US-90 and I went right through the middle of it. Hard downpour for about 10 miles. I was just about dry by the time I arrived home. It was a great day of riding even with the cooldown soaking.

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?
Saturday we cut through the Missouri bootheel into Tenneessee (crossed the Mississippi at Caruthersville) rode up US-51 through Union City, TN into Kentucky. Took KY-94 to Murray, KY., ate lunch at the Cracker Barrel, then on north to US-62 where we crossed the north end of Kentucky Lake then rode the Trace (Land Between the Lakes). Saw the buffalo grazing at the Bison range, then on southward to Paris, TN., east through Dresden, and Kenton, TN. to US-51 to US-412 back to home. Days ride was 456 mile. Didn't get real hot until we hit Paragould, AR. where the temp hit 102, most of the days ride was from 75 to 95 degree (the 75 degree was when we were riding drag to a thunderstorm between Union City and Murray KY.).

I've been real busy of late and so has "hammer" [Dave] but we managed to go for a short ride yesterday we meandered through the back roads from Abbotsford to Fort Langley with a stop for a java at "the fort".

Rode the Cub Cadet for about 4 1/2 hours this afternoon. No odometer but I would estimate close to 2 miles. The Nomad has a much better ride and is quieter, even with the UB's. ::)

Had a nice 51 mile ride yesterday but only rode 6 miles today. Maybe more miles tomorrow.

Rode 200+ miles yesterday from Athens, GA into western South Carolina through Greenwood and Ninety-Six, SC and back to Athens. Just about drown in a monsoon that we got caught in. Nice ride on US Hwy 72 when not raining.

Haven't had much chance to ride lately. Saturday I had all day, Rode to Harrison, AR and on to Mountain View via hwy 14. They were having a bike event there, Mountains, Music and Motorcycles. There were lots of bikes there. Rode on down hwy 9 to Clinton and on to Morilton where I hit I40 and headed home. GPS said 418 miles. It was a good day!

Went for a short ride to Thibodaux this morning wearing short pants. Rode about 20 miles and burned the inside of my right calf on the V & H heat shield when getting off the bike at the meat market. Seems like I've heard somewhere on here always to wear long pants. :-[ Oh well, you live and learn. ;)
