'99 1500 Hard-starting when hot

I just bought this '99 1500 Nomad and the only real issue I've found is that when I run it for 10 or 15 minutes, then stop for gas or smokes or whatever (for 5 minutes or so); it doesn't want to re-start. It cranks over just fine, but just won't fire up. I end up waiting about 10 or 15 minutes and then it will start. Also, I haven't noticed a major gas smell, so I'm not sure that it's a flooding problem- I don't goose the gas when stopping or trying to restart- any clues? thanks

Don't really know but sounds like it isn't getting fuel until it cools down for a bit. Possibly fuel pump issue? Hope not. Maybe it will turn out to be something else.

Just for shits and giggles next time try opening the gas cap and then closing it.
I know , I know, sounds stupid but it worked on a car I had once.

I had that problem with my 2000 1500. It would crank over fine till it ran the battery down. Seemed like my battery didn't hold a charge and it didn't take much turning over to run it down. It also had some weird intermittant start problems. I found the problem was caused by corroded terminals on the start relay that is mounted behind the coolant tank on the right side under the seat. After I fixed the corroded terminals on the relay (inside the plug) and installed a new battery I haven't had those problems anymore.

have you checked where your fuel lines run? if they are getting hot your fuel may evaporate from the lines due to the heatsoak of the engine when stationary..
