I just traded my 08 C50 for a 06 Nomad Only had it one full day but am very happy with it so far. I would like to find some protection for the top of my hard bags (not rails), anyone have any suggestions? I've heard a lot of good things about this forum ;)

Welcome, you will here from someone thats up on the leather chaps for over the saddlebags. I think that would be one option, I have the chrome OEM rails on mine.

Thanks Loafer! I asked the dealer to remove the "Caution do not sit on the hard bags" decal. He got it off, but the paint under it had started to bubble? Maybe because the sticker has been on it for four years? I was watching him do it and he was careful. Plus my children like to ride with me and I can foresee dragged shoes scratching the bags.

deacon, put a quality wax on, it will save on small scuffs until you get a chance to do something to your liking.

Welcome from Ontario!Covering the tops of the bags with leather will eventually wear the paint, actually anything touching the paint will wear it.

Welcome from Mass. How far up into NH are you? I live in Methuen, 1 mile from NH border.
I had scratches and nicks from G/F boots on my bags. I ordered a set of chaps from PH Customs a few years ago and I am pleased. There are marks if I take them off but I do not plan to. Mark |
