Mustang seat on a Vaquero

Just purchased a Mustang seat and It squeaks. It appears it rests right on the plastics and Squeaks. I have not installed the Locking bracket as of yet. But I did lift the back up and it still rests on the plastics ( rear fender side covers) not the actual side covers. The outside edges touch. So is this normal? I do not want wear marks on the paint, down the road, thinking I may re install my stock seat at some point. Cuz I may re do it since I have a spare seat now. It came with rubber stoppers under the seat. So I think that is the way it fits? Very disappointed so far.

What are the observations out there?
