Screen settings
I am having a hardware issue with my screen. Until I can get it fixed, is there a way to get rid of the background? The more white I have on the screen the less problem I have with it, and the gray and red background is a total bitch right now. Man I hope this doesn't cost too much to fix.

I'd try to d/l the latest drivers for your graphics card (if you have one). If you don't have a card, perhaps there are newer drivers for your mobo. If all else fails, new monitors are dirt cheap these days. Last 24" widescreen I bought was under $250.

Go to a recycling place and look for a screen there.
