Greetings. I just joined the group and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is John and I'm a KawaNomaholic. I have been addicted to Kawasaki's since 1974. I got into Nomads in May 2005 when I was forced to purchase a 2000 Nomad from a Highway Patrolman in Kentucky and ride it home to Puget Sound.

It was brutal. My wife threatened to leave me somewhere in the middle of Kansas unless I bought her a gel seat from the first available Harley dealer. Unfortunately, she became addicted after that first hit of Kawasaki. Poor girl, didn't have a chance, she's ruined for life.

Here's a photo of my addiction on the day I got her.

And this is what it looks like after spring maintenance this year.

I'm looking forward to sharing my addiction with others here.

Nice colors! don't see to many of those. Nice riding up there too. I did a nice ride last summer up over Blewitt Pass, Stevens Pass, and back over highway 20. It was a 6 day ride from here round trip and it was a blast, (even though we got rained on all day long going over HWY 20) Welcome to the crazy party.

bigjohn,

Welcome to the board from Maryland. Very nice looking bike. I like the wood accents. Is there something on your speedometer?
