New Bike in the Stable

Over the weekend while we were in Fort Lauderdale my Girlfriends Sportster 883 got sick and had to go to the Harley doctor.

After some minor surgery they told us that it won't be long before the bike is going to die.

We went shopping for a new addition to the family and she now has a brand new off the showroom floor 2007 Honda Sabre 1100.

After owning her Harley for so long then starting up this very quiet new Honda, she said "Honey, we have to get new pipes"

So I rode it home last night and it handles like a dream. It's light and has great power.

I hope it warms up a little so we can get our new kid broken in.

Sorry to hear about the untimely demise of the HD but glad you found her something nice to ride, lol. Love the paint job on it. I guess new exhaust will be the first of many upgrades in the future. Mods are fun.

Yes....woman... :)

All the best to her. She has a bullet proof machine that won't get sick on her. Have fun with the mods...

Ride safe...

I had a 1100 Spirit before the Nomad and put 17000 miles on it in 14 months. A very fun bike to ride that would rip not only the 1600 but the 900 for a 1/4 mile.

There is nothing as fun as a new bike and think of all the fun with the mods.

Congratulations to the new addition in the family. I think she'll grow to love it more than the 883.

It's so darn cold right now she can't ride it and is getting impatient.

She's making her list of mods... all I hear is KA CHINK KA CHINK

We're talking about rebuild the sportster as a project. She loves to tinker with the bikes so I figure over a year or so we can restore it, fix the motor and sell it.

Coach, your right. I'm hoping we can ride Sunday the 25th to see Joe.

Oh yeah, I rode it last night and couldn't tell from the sound when to shift. I had to use the vibration of the motor, but that's so slight it was difficult.
