I didn't see the post, but i just looked on amazon.com and saw a kawi drivers backrest for sale.

look under vulcan vaquero accessories.

Thats the good news. The bad news is that they are asking about $450 bucks.

Got one of the Grasshopper backrests on my Vaquero and I love it. Quick install and instant off and on. Only drawback is it is a bit wide when riding two up and my girlfriend says she has to ride "spread eagled". I didn't find that a negative for me though!

Kawasaki cancelled the release of the drivers backrest and is doing further testing. No release date set at this time. I have the Grasshopper drivers backrest and I couldn't be happier with it. It does everything a backrest is suppose to do and sells for a very reasonable price.

ever since i puchased the vaquero i was not happy with the front turn signals. that bar underneath the headlight looks like something you should do pull ups on.
well i finally found and purchased a set of front led signals like i have been wanting. i puchased them and hopefully get them by the weekend. as soon as i get them installed i will post some pics and more info for anyone who would like to do the same.

mine seem loose as if the rubber gaskets are not doing their job ...that might be the rattle i hear in the front end....checked them with a 10mm socket today and verified they are torqued down as far as they will go...still some play in the bar itself though.

Robert, here's the beginnings of what I'm doing with my Vaquero. On the second page, there's an updated pic without the stockers

Like my "grasshopper" backrest, too. Easy on and off and it supports my back well. Just wish that it's upright support baracket was a little stronger.

Hear that Utopia makes one for the Vaquero, they sent me an email that it is about $235 shipped, but a waiting list right now, here is the link to it, I may purchase it soon and give it a try: http://www.utpr.com/vaquero17.html
