Papat, I don't want you to feel bad about this, but one of my neighbors recently bought a Ripstick for his kid. I'd wanted to try one since I'd seen it in the stores a year ago, and like a doofus I hopped right on this thing and promptly fell off. Despite what I may appear to be doing in the photo I posted, I don't do "tricks" on a skateboard at my age, and the 46" board I ride is made to strictly stay on the ground.

I shoulda stuck to the big cruiserboard, because I'm too old for these stunt things. Anyhow I'm typing with one hand because my left elbow is sore as the devil. I couldn't pull the clutch on my bike this morning, and it looks like I won't be riding the bike for a few days at least. I did ride the longboard a little, but now I'm sitting here with an icepack sucking down Vicodin and trying to kick myself in the ass.

Please don't feel bad about this. Your suggestion came at least a year too late, because that's how long I've been dying to try it, and inside I bloody well knew better which is why I never had. But this 12 year old made it look so dang easy. ::) ::) ::)

It's so damned hot here, my hands get really dry and the skin cracks, if you must know. I know that's probably not what you'd use it for, though.
