I find it interesting that you ride an HD at work and your personal ride is a Nomad.
It isn't my process. I know CHP uses a process other than a qualitative one and this year they went to the C14. They had used BMWs for a long time and before that, the KZ1000P. If you read the tests, it's interesting as HD, Honda, BMW and Kawasaki have entrants. In the high speed acceleration tests the HD runs out of room before it hits 100. Not so with the others...

I didn't mean yours specifically, but yours in general sense of the word (everyone's). It was supposed to be humorous. Guess I missed my mark again.

Not really. It's just that I don't like a priori logic. It's the process of parochial scoundrels and other small minded idiots. I understood what you meant...

? I am cool with Danimal. I was talking about the chief that used "like" as opposed to process in selecting fleet motorcycles.

Don't be sorry. I get a little rough. I run into that mentality a little too much and I get a little out of hand. The idea of best in class, world class and best practices doesn't always exist. Oh well. Where I work we have what I call the popsicle stick mentality crossed with the infinite number of monkeys. They'd rather get 100 people to dig a ditch each with a popsicle stick in hand than rent a backhoe with one operator. It's always a dollar chasing a well worn and known dime. It gets old fast.

Interesting theme, great to hear all the occupations!!. Thirty Five years in wildlife law enforcement (Game Warden) since the early 70's ............... a long time, but awesome career. Retired and now doing Inspections. Looking forward to spending a lot of time on the 2007 Nomad. Great group of folks and I am never bored reading all the information on this site. Keep up the great job and one thing I can say that I have learned over the years is there are no boring jobs out there........... everyone is interesting and the people you meet and the attitude you have is what makes your job what it is. You get out of life what you put into it. I look at every day as a new experience and a challenge. As we have seen with recent events, life can change in a heartbeat!! Stay Positive and enjoy everything.Enjoy the Ride!! Den
