thanks for the welcomes..vulcan E, i am about 5 miles from the ocean front here in va beach va,, the tidewater area, in southeastern va, lived here all of my 48yrs. a stones throw from norfolk. i love reading about all bikes, and have owned a 04' kawa zrx1200r, a yamaha v-star 1100 silverado, and a harley bobber. the zrx was a rip snorter, and a blast to ride, the v-star was nice, but the maint was a pain, and the hd was a 2000' xl 1200 with 18" apes, avon whitewalls and a solo seat. no front fender etc...cool looking but basicly worthless for trips over 40~50 miles. it would beat ya to death and the range lacked w the peanut tank. i have rode well over 600 miles in a single day on the nomad. i know some do alot more, but this with 2 buldging discs, and another extruded one. i sometimes catch a little good humored flak from the club bros, about "rice" and such, but they all are real motorcyclists and know the value and dependability of the japanese scoots. i have harley tattoos all over and was caught up in the harley mystique as well as most at one time. they still make a great bike, but i feel the nomad is the best value motorcycle made. thanks again, hope this didn't seem like a rant, and i look forward to my time here. shine

Welcome from . . . VA Beach. I live over by the Lynnhaven Mall, but hope to move over by Kempsville. I work in Norfolk just off I464 across from USG. I moved here from VT in August. We'll have to get together for a ride sometime soon. I like to ride down in northeast NC and in Suffolk, Isle of Wight, Prince George, Surry, Sussex & Southhampton counties here in VA.
