It's strange how some technology makes life worse, not better.

Of course us older guys remember when you got a live person every time you called anywhere, then they routed your call. You could actually ask that person a question too!

When my son was growing up, he liked to play a game called "what wasn't invented when you were a kid dad" Put phone menus on that list.
