4 states in one day

On Friday and Saturday, I made a 1200 mile trip from Monroe, WI to Tomball, TX. On a 21hr ride I had a lot of time to spend inside my head thinking, (man, it sure does echo in there). Yeah, the rain was an inconvenience, but I can honestly say, without a doubt,

Damn I LOVE my Nomad!!!

Wow what a ride. I love it when I get to run like that, if I'm not pressed for time. By the by, I don't think the echo is any thing to worry about, but I've been told that being able to hear the wind blowing through while sitting still maybe a reason for concern.
Thanks for your time

Ahh, hell, 21 hours to see 4 states? You must have one of those slow red Nomads! I've got one of those quick green ones and I can hit three states in about 20 minutes. I can hit 4 in an hour! It helps I live near the PA/NY/NJ tri-states border and CT is just across the narrow part of southern NY state, lol.

Congratulations, it's nice to hear you had a cool trip like that. Were you doing an ironbutt run? If not, I wonder if you can submit for it after the fact?

Good Job and continue enjoying that good looking Nomad!

Russ

Steven you must have slipped through Missouri pretty close to us here in Macon. Sounds like you had a great ride. Liz and I are waiting until June when we are going to the VROC WWR in Cortez, CO. 1000+ miles each way plus what ever riding we will do out there. We will get back home just in time to do laundary and head to Arkansas to the South Central KawaNOW rally in Eureka Springs.

Sounds like a great trip you had. I love the freedom of the open road. I have taken two long trips in the past two years and loved it. Hope I get to do another one this year.

During the Southwest regional rally, we'll hit four states in about an hour.

Sounds like a great trip. I'm glad you had a good time!

Thanks for all of the compliments! I went from WI, IL, MO, and then AR in one day, I have some family down there. Then I finished up by heading into TX the next day. I could have not taken my bike with me and just flown back to TX, but what fun is that? I'm very glad to have a good wife who understands that when the opertunity to go on a road trip comes up, Take It! Sara, my wife, is pregnant otherwise she would have been with me, (she likes to ride as much as I do).

Yeah, the old girl runs a little slower these days, but seeing that it just turned 83,000 miles, I'll give her a brake. I wish I could lay claims to all of those miles, but I can not. Before my trip I entertained the idea of selling the Nomad and getting a Voyager, but not anymore. I guess while I was out I fell in love with it all over again.
