Installing Voyager, Nomad bags on a Classic?
Hi! Sold my 2012 Voyager, now considering buying a 2009 Classic! Have some hard bags and mounting hardware from a trike conversion. Also, have mufflers from Voyagers. Wondering if these could be installed on the Classic? Looks like the exhaust would need changed, or modified. And looks like the side covers have a slot for mounting hardware. Hoping someone out there has done this, and could save me trial and error (and money). Never had a full dresser before the Voyager. Could never get used to top heavy feel (faring and trunk), I assumed. Loved the drivetrain (especially after installing Ivan re flash). Thought if I found a right priced Nomad or Classic, I'd like another try. Do like the hard bags. Thanks for any help!

Just what I did, but had a 2007 1500 Classic. Traded it in and lost big bucks but happy with my Vaquero. The Reckless fairing I had on my classic was almost better than the Vaqueros though. The soft bags do not lock, but stretch. A few trade offs.
From what I remember the frames are the same in the 1700s. Forks and seat mounts differ. So Vaquero bags should fit a Classic. Somehow?

Thanks for the reply's. I do love the look of the Vaquero. Was trying to go econo, and utilize the bags and exhaust (just mufflers, not header pipes) I have on hand.
