Single or dual?

I've detailed my crappy experience with Cobra USA and their unsupported rust buckets that they call "mufflers." I'm considering doing a full exhaust replacement. Be GREAT if there was a company that would actually warrant the quality of their product! And not some B.S. warranty that, in small print, excludes everything important from coverage!

Two part question:
I've been looking at full exhaust systems from Freedom Performance. What are the performance/sound difference the single exhaust compared to the dual exhaust? And yes, I would certainly have to have baffles, no interest in my ears bleeding!

Secondly, anyone have pictures of the single exhaust mounted on a Vaquero? I'm wondering how the bike looks with no exhaust on the left side. Really not interested in pulling that slip-on off just to see!

And knowing that a LOT of this stuff is made in China, is that why everyone seems to be out of stock?

Sorry you are another victim of COBRA not caring about rust.
The Freedom Performance pipes sound awesome. In my opinion, one of the best, if not the best sounding pipes on that 1700 engine.
My understanding is that yo will get better performance numbers out of a two-into-one system. If you are worried about milking every pony out of that machine, then a 2into1 is your best option. There are plenty of hardshell baggers out there with one fat can on the right and nothing on the left. They look good.
If you prefer the balanced look of dual exhaust, then the FP TRU-DUALS are an easy pick.
Not sure the above helped, but there is my two cents.

Ride safe,
Smokier

Search the FP exhausts on eBay - They have quite a few "Open Box" new setups for half their normal price - I am tempted to pick one of those up myself - Though for the Voyager, I would go with the dual pipes . . . Just looks better on the full touring machine IMHO . . . But I have see Vaq's with two in one and look good.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! As much as I would love to, I just can't swing the $$ for that right now. I did, however, come up with a $125 solution! GET RID OF THE CHROME. I have another post with pictures of the exhaust coated with Cerakote Black Velvet, one of their hi-temp coatings.

I just last January found a pretty decent deal on the Freedom true dual racing system in black for my bike. Throaty deep resonating good sound coming out the back now and the only time it gets noticeably loud is when you have to really get on the throttle like passing, etc. well worth the money and pretty straight forward installation to boot.
