They are calling for the possibility for some white stuff North of Lake Ponchartrain on Wednesday or Thursday. What a winter this has been for those of us who normally don't have winter.

Yeah, Mitch, It's been a real slap in the face to Al Gore and his kind...Speaking of slapping, I feel like going up to Pennsylvania and slapping the hell out of that Groundhog.

Just about had to buy No-mad-Liz a new vehicle. Went to Wallyworld this morning and took her Escape. thought it would be warm when we got back for her to ride to work in. Well the exit is a slight down hill and totally ice covered. When I touched the brakes I picked up speed. Checked the road and was timed perfect with a pickup to hit him right in the side. I let up on the brakes and steered to the curb and up into the snow bank. The pickup driver seen what was happening and moved to the center lane. Nothing damaged but nerves.

I HATE winter anymore!!! I would bet money there will be several wrecks at that drive today. Of course the dusting of snow we got last night is not helping anything. With it on top of the ice there is no traction at all in the intersections.

Ice and sleet in ETex creates sheer panic. I've never had a problem driving in it...but most ETexans do.

Same here in NE OK, Trip. Ice and snow and freezing water on the roads. I don't have much of a problem, or really ever have, but I'd say 95% of people here don't know how to drive when the roads get even a drop of water on them!

"Oh My! A snow flake, I can't make it to work today!" Or the other half drive out of control and end up in the ditch or causing a mess somehow.

It's very irritating (if you can't tell) trying to deal with people that don't know how to drive. :)

Even with the best knowHow, stuff happens.

some days are best spent at home.

Your right most days would be better spent at home, but some of us still work everyday and we just have to drive around the crazy ones and continue on. :)

Woke up with 6" of snow on the ground here in ETex. That's unusual for us. The only saving grace is the temps are not all that cold....31 degrees.....so the snow is melting fairly fast.

If the temps were in the mid 20's and the wind was blowing good, we'd have some problems on our hands.

No snow here but plenty of rain. Those who live just a few miles North of us had accumulations.

Saw on the news where they said 49 out of 50 states had snow on the ground. We got 14" here in Azle, Texas.
