2011 Vaquero Oil Leak

There is a wire bundle of 6 or so wires going into the bottom of the engine on the left side. The bundle is directly behind the side stand switch. It's looks like fresh oil is leaking from the bundle. The grommet around the wires is rubber so I don't think that would be holding back oil. Does that make any sense? It has been leaking all winter so it not under pressure. Can anyone give me a hint where to look? I have been under it a few times but cant find ny other place that is wet with oil. I tried to get a picture but they were too big to upload.

Clutch pushrod seal or clutch slave cylinder is my guess if the 1700's are the same as the 1500/1600 in that area.

PM sent.

OP. Has it been determined that it is engine oil or hydraulic fluid ?

Stator wires?

It sounds to me like it is the grommet around the stator wire leaking crankcase oil. I had a Yamaha do it years ago. Its not where the seal meets the case, it's actually the seal around the wires. It cannot be repaired or silicone sealed. You have to replace the generator windings (stator). Mine quit leaking when I got it out in the spring and started riding.
