My trip to Deals Gap

Well all I can really say is...wow.
I have never been on such a cool set of roads to ride in my life.
Since we had to detour due to the Mudslide we went down to TN68 and then hit 165 into the Cherokee mountains and came across the Cherahala Skyway.
That was awesome. The mountains was a site to see....
When we got to the motorcycle resort we unpacked and headed up the Dragon.
Again...wow.
For a cruiser or full dresser the Dragon is a challenge and fun to ride.
The next day we went down RT28 and I would have to say that road alone is FUN to ride and has nice scenery as well.
We spent the next few days running around the area taking in the sites and of course, re-riding the Dragon as many times as I could take.
Unfortunately it did rain some while we were there but we made the most of it and dawned our rain suits and continued to ride.
All in all we had about 75 percent sunshine and it was a blast.
There were some minor accidents but nothing harmful.
One guy on a full dresser Harley ran over the edge into a ditch and a sport biker laid it down.
There were tons of bikes, Porsche's, 1 Lamborghini, several Beamers and a hot wheel....yes on the Dragon. :)
I can't wait to go again.
We did not make it to the Blueridge Parkway but that will be our next venture once we go back.
The Nomad did great even loaded to the gills.
I will say for a 1600 it has plenty of power and fun to ride...especially when I am rubbing the floor boards .
I ended up smashing one of my Guardian Bells so I just left it hanging there as a reminder of the good times we had at The Dragon.
I did post some videos of the Dragon on You Tube.
If interested search out CBJDragonPart1, CBJDragonPart2 and CBJDragonPart3.
Had to split them up since you can only have 10 minutes a flick on You Tube.
The quality is OK but I wish it was better.
I seem to get some up and down wobble while accelerating and I tried everything to get it to stop without success.
In any case the trip was a blast and we loved every moment of it.
Ride Safe
