Anyone know how the MaKaw rebates work?

I have a chance to grab a new 2013 Voyager at a great price! A local dealer ordered it for a buyer who's financing fell through so they are asking under $13,500. I was wondering if anyone has taken advantage of the "Summer Sales Event" or is it just a gimmick? Sub 14k plus my trade would make for a good deal, but I don't have much cash to put down right now. I'm just a poor (non-veteran) civil servant, but the bike keeps calling me!

It is usually $1000 cash back, which is deducted from the purchase price or 0% financing for 36 months. Most average people cant afford payments at 36 months so its best to take the grand and if yout credit is good, you can get a rate of about 3.75% on average for a new bike and extend the paymemts 48 or 60 months.
