Download malwarebytes free scanner http://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/lp4/?...FTFk7AodaRwA9w and see if you got a problem there, make sure your pop-up blocker is turned on...... I use Firefox and Internet Explorer... no popup or scrolling adds.

When logged-on I do not have any ads anywhere. Nothing anywhere on any screen.

I use an Apple laptop, but am not aware of any ad-blocker I am using. My son might have put something on it I am not aware of though. I'll ck with him.

EDIT: My son added Adblock onto my computer for Safari. There is Adblock Plus for Firefox, and others. If it works like it does on my computer, then I give it a high rating.

I use a Mac laptop also. It doesn't come with adblock-plus. It is an extension that can be added to the browser.

I added NoScript and it seems to have solved the problem.
There is a line at the bottom of the page where it says options and I have to allow things on certain sites or they will be blocked.
But so far, so good

Silent Sam was that post supposed to be helpful?
I think you need to get back on the meds

I just put adblock plus on mine and the thing has been amazing in page load time since. Thanks for the heads up on this.

NoScript is a Javascript blocker and Java blocker. Some sites that you go to may not work correctly without Javascript. Most places like Amazon and eBay use Javascript in their checkout sections.

I admit I'm slow...In Life I only got college education in Aero Space Engineering.made it to commercial pilot-drilling engineer-drilling fluids engineer-commercial interstate trucker(during any time I needed a "filler temp job") and several other professions including and not least Wild lands Fire Fighter with the CDF...Aerial Applicator-international...and some things I still get calls about.. if I talk about them !(last time was from Naval Intelligence...but I cant say what about)

To Sum it all up..craputer are just like a Slot Machine, some folks love them, design them, work on them, program them -BUT when you play..it may pay...but seldom will !..after all ...here we sit...but who makes any $$ ? ..a few, but mostly its hangin out and visiting (I love to hang out and visit) so when it works, thats all I expect to get !

Nothing more than it's a very common plugin that does a good job.

There's no pop-ups or slide-ins installed on this site at all. Never. Sounds like you had some malware installed. Malwarebytes is an excellent program.

I am running Firefox Jared.
How do I block the ads sliding in from the side?
Install the extension "AdBlock Pro"

I already had ad aware installed and it didn't stop the ads from sliding in or jumping up from the bottom.
I added NoScript also and that blocks them.
I do have to click on options and click allow this page to see some Javascript applications but only have to do it once and it is good each time I go to that page from then on.
A small price to pay to get rid of the annoying ads. My Dr says I have to avoid getting stressed he does not know me well
