Hey Guys

Welcome from Texas. You'll like the bike. Mods come in three catagories. Bling, comfort, and performance. Pick your poison and may God have mercy on your wallet, Master card won't. If you are married, well, you're on your on there. We all have our stratagies. I suggest, letting her enjoy the bike with you and making her one with the process. Anyway, good luck, come back often. And, yes, Gadgets is a wealth of info right along with this site. Lots of experience here. Just ask!

Hey Guys

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest and congrats on getting one of the fast ones. I've only ever seen the other colors in my mirrors.

Hey Guys

hi and welcome from Langley BC, Canada. You'll have fun and no trouble making the Nomad your own. It's real simple......do everything you want! Most of us are attracted to chrome shiny stuff.
Have fun.

Hey Guys

Thank you all for the welcomes! I agree with most of you that since I'm married, she'll have to be alright with any mods first. We've only been on a couple of rides so far, and she really likes the bike. I looked for over 2 years for a new bike, finally came to the conclustion that my wife will be around for a while, so I decided on a bike with a more comfortable back seat! Another thing she really likes is the sound out of the stock pipes. Really quiet so she can enjoy the ride rather than be ridden with a headache at the end of the ride. I think I might debaffle the stockers for now, but that won't be for a while. Picked up this beauty because of the price, and the dealership I got it from. It was the owners demo bike, only had 1289 miles on it when I picked it up, had the break-in maintenance done already, and I picked it up for $9k! I'm planning on MANY long trips. I already technically took it on one getting it home to central Iowa from the dealership in Michigan, only about 500 miles, but that'll do for getting to know a bike!

Anyways... has anyone already drilled their baffles, and if so, what difference in sound do you get?

Thanks guys (and gals).

-Danno

Many of us have removed our baffles and were pleased with the results. Here's a how-to on the procedure:
