Don, Is the trailer you have one you pull behind the Nad or one that you pull the Nad on? I am looking for a trailer to put the bike on. I go from FL to IA a time or two each year to ride with the daughter I have there. Sold my pickup so now I need a trailer.

I probably will. The guy took 1500 off the price. Here's my take:

I test rode the BMW. I am still absorbing the ride. It was 48 degrees when I did the test ride. Good thing the bike had heated grips and seat. I am telling you I can't understand why anyone would want to do without it. It's incredible. My hands get cold easily and they weren't today.

go and whoa. While it's not a sport bike, I think it could embarras many quicker bikes. It does have a vibe though, a twin vibe, but obviously not v-twin. It gets up to speed much faster than any cruiser I have ridden. It reminds me of a torquier version of my GPz. Stopping is an experience. That biotch stops better than anything I have ridden and with little dive. Holy smokes can it stop.

The only knocks I have are the windscreen and first gear. Even with the scren all the way up, I was getting buffeting. That would have to be replaced. First gear was really high. I stalled it twice and had to learn how to start off. You have to rev it a bit on starting out. Sounds simple, but it's true. Once under way it's not an issue.

The bike just wants to go. I had trouble keeping it under 90. All I can say is the word that comes to mind is competent. There are faster bikes and bikes with more bells and whistles, but none that seem as well balanced in terms of working together. The Germans have the big picture down pat.

I did some riding over the weekend with a guy that had a new BMW for about 6 months. As I was admiring his ride he did make the comment that it seems a little top heavy that needs getting used to. Did you find that also?

Not at all. It's 250lbs lighter than the Nomad. I will say though that the tank was not near full at all. It holds 7.1 gallons.

Donguer hate to hear you are selling the Nomad. You have a lot of extras for sure. I hope you have good luck selling it.

The guy actually said wait until next week when the new programs come out. He said BMW may offer a new program incentive and it's only a week, so I agreed. What's a week.

No worries If I sell it...I sell it...If I don't, its still my baby. There have been alot of changes for me this past year. Before I have to sell it, i'd like to see it go while we're both with our heads up high. I know the price is on the high side but, my pride shows when anyone see's it and it shows. There is alot of stuff that goes along with it that is not mentioned. and if i'm in the mood I just may give the the trailer.
Ponch, I say go for it! That is one fine bike. If not now, when?
Joe, Don't Hijack my post cuz! :) (joking)

I think you are offering an excellent opportunity for someone. If I were looking for a new ride, you would have sold it already. Good luck with your sale.
