V&H Touring Duals require re-program?

I bought a 2005 Vulcan 1600. It has these installed (http://products.vanceandhines.com/store/18369/) I can see some pretty obvious discoloring of the headers under the heat shields. Do I need to get this thing programmed to prevent any damage from the A/F ratio being changed by the other-than-stock exhaust?

Does your bike has an aftermarket Intake? If so, then I would recommend a fuel processor. If your pipes are blue, then it's probably running lean. Adding a processor will richen up the bike making it run cooler and most likely help the mpg's too.

It also has an other-than-stock air cleaner setup. I noticed DynoJet has a specific tune for that exhaust on their programmer too. So....I guess it's probably a good idea to get.

Hwyride! I got a really good deal on shipping! So....I didn't make that 1,000 mile ride :)

Thanks for asking!

Trying to see if anyone knows exactly what air intake this is as well. With the modified air intake AND exhaust....I think it's probably a good idea to get a fuel programmer.

If the intake was modified you need one. I know a lot of folks use various ones on here and will probably give you the advice on them. I know Vance and Hines also makes one.

For ease of install and adjustment, the dolbeck TFI is very popular here, me included. That being said, I would look the bike over real close to see if one is already on it. I find it difficult to believe someone would put pipes and intake on without a processor. The bike would be popping and backfiring every time you decelerate, plus the fan would be coming on a lot.

Check behind the side covers and under the seat, those are the most likely places.
