Cobra fi2000R

I asked this question on the volusia forum, figured i'd ask here as well....

Anyone ever used a Cobra fi2000R from another bike on their Nomad? I've got one that came off my C50, was just wondering if i were to obtain the correct pot settings for my Nomad if it'd work correctly. No sense in selling it if i can still use it.

Go on Cobra's website and see if the part number is the same between the two bikes. If not, I wouldn't try it because you could mess up your ECM.

It's not, I just figured it might work per whatever the pot adjustments were set to, IF the connectors matched up. Guess i'll go ahead and post up on VR and get some $$ towards paint on a reckless fairing :)

It's up to you, it's your bike - but a new ECM costs a lot more than a new FI2000R.

From what I have been told by the local mechanic that has installed a bunch of cobras. They are programed at the factory and the pot settings are just fine tunning. He also said he has never had to adjust one away from the factory settings. they are pretty much Plug & Play. I never had to adjust either of the ones I have had myself
