I have a Sony stereo I'm installing in the frame mount fairing on my VN1600, which has a small per-amp function built in. I have a pair of 3" tweeters up in the gauge cluster, and plan to install 5.25" speakers down in the fairing in the area on each side of the fork legs.
So I'm thinking a pair of the Hog Tunes 5.25" speakers for the midrange. Bass I don't know if the Hog Tunes are good for the lower frequencies.

When I receive the adapter rings from Randy I could sell my Hogtune speakers. They are the KVR-52 Metrix Audio by Hogtunes. Let me know if you are interested. They are in excellent condition.

Just FYI...a marine speaker simply has coatings on the wiring and connectors to protect against salt corrosion. Many car speakers are equally resistant to plain old water damage. Look for a polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround. A paper cone speaker is an obvious no-no even though some high-end speakers actually use paper cones.

Thanks BrokeAss, here is a link to the ones I have purchased. I got them for under 140.00 from Amazon.

Look good to me! Let me know how everything goes, my son just bought Ivan's Voyager and we'd like to upgrade the front speakers.
