macmac's reply to the performance of Sea-foam is correct. No, it does not work miracles. But it may be the proper maintence that our bikes & cars need. I use it on my sons F-150, (1999, 4.2L, 155K miles), my Saturn SC2 (1994, 80K miles.), and when the GTO goes out this spring it will get it too.
No issues with Sea-foam here.
ps, wal-mart had it for 6 dollars a can.

Sea Foam = snake oil?

I think BD is pretty safe. he is bigger than me by a lot, I bet.. I am taller and look bigger but on the scales soaking wet it says 148 pounds.. Then there is about 3,500 miles between us as the crow flies.

I just didn't like the type of jossin' around and the guff I thought he was taking as I took it as over the top, and offensive, but then I am one of them old long hair country hicks.

Not much of a guy to try to bother livin' in that fast lane.

As to Sea Foam my wanna be dead Husky cut trees down today to stack into a neat 2 cord pile. I'ld say I like that! it means I didn't get to pull the jug off my saw just to find carboned rings.

Now that saw smoked big time on about the 6th pull when it started. it is safe to say it was flooded with seas foam for near to 3 weeks now. This saw is as fast as the day I bought it used back in 94. I wish I could say it was as pretty as it was back then, but it ain't. Who cares?

I figure this saw should last me another decade, while it might need a piston and rings maybe some time. But that depends as the plastics are degrading.. The handle had a patch made of alloy because it was cracking. That has nothing to do with engine operation thou..

In the AM I ploan to get in 2 cord more and then again the next day. That is as fast as I can cut in snow over my knees deep, then get it out in 8 foot long sections, onto the truck , then stack it again in the door yard.

These 6 cords are just for the sugar stove. Then there needs to be 10 maybe 12 cords more for next winter. I am betting my existance this saw will stay running.. Use Sea Foam you bet!

I've never used sea-foam but my 93 GMC Sierra 1500 has 360 000km and all I do is change the oil every 5000km.

I use whatever brand name oil wal-mart has on sale. Usually Castrol GTX, Pennzoil, or Valvoline. I use 5w30 year round.

Just sayin. :)

Hey mac, just so ya know...BD ain't worth worryin' over.....he's really one of those left coaster/californication types......not really worth the powder it would take to shoot him

(by the way, he and I probably talk on the phone at least a couple times a week and laugh our asses off at this back and forth banter........he sounds kind of like a little girl on the phone though :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ ..... )
