rear cylinder misfire 1500 nomad
Hi everyone, this is my first post, hope I do it right. I just wanted to share how I solved a stumble problem with the rear cylinder on my 04 FI Nomad 1500, Blue/silver.
Bike started good, idle good, touch the throttle, rear cyl cuts out . Drained gas, new plugs, no joy. Pulled coils, checked at Black Hills Powersports, Rapid City, SD. Kudos guys, didn't charge me, coils good. To make a long story short, I found a broken connector on the throttle sensor, it appeared the rear radiator hose slipped down on the 3 wire plug and broke off the darn wire right at the connector plug. I did a little creative wiring and all is right with world now. I don't think I can get the throttle sensor plug in separately, maybe have to get the whole throttle body assembly (NOT) I hope my labors saves someone out there some headaches. Ride safe. Powersports have a great bunch of guys there. I had them put in a pinion seal because I couldn't get the collar off. They took it apart, put the new seal in and buttoned it up. Total cost of $23...They took it in right away and got right on it...Can't beat them...Do you live in Rapid? Jody

Congratulations on finding the problem. It was nice talking with you yesterday. My guess is that you saved a lot of the other guys some grief if the same problem happens to them. I have to start back to Arizona, Sunday. Not looking forward to the heat. Sure wish I could stay in South Dakota for the summer.

Glad you were able to find and fix your problem. That could have been a real headache.
By the way you need to introduce yourself on the new member forum and let the guys welcome you. I will say welcome from Alabama, The Heart of Dixie.

Thats a new fix, thanks for sharing it with us. I had a intermittent stumble also for a few weeks, and while installing my tach, I found a loose connector on the neg coil terminal where i connected a wire for my cruise control. After replacing the connector all is well again.
