Michigan Driver Education Bill

Fellow Riders --
I came across this legislative bill that is expected to go to the Michigan governour's desk soon:

http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/inde...s_for_for.html

Unfortunately, I do not have a link to the bill itself, so I had to settle for a newspaper's coverage of it.
Please tell me what you think -- especially of the readers' comments therein! It certainly appears some cocksockets just HATE the idea of people riding motorcycles!!!

I found the bill on the Michigan Legislature site. My opinion, it looks pretty decent and adjusts some of the driver training classroom requirements most of us took way back when. Bringing attention to bicycle and motorcycle awareness and safety added to the present curriculum. Does not appear to unfairly impact anyone and probably will not cost too much to implement either.

The comments on the newspaper site were disgusting. Sadly there are too many of the jerks. It may only get worse with the me, me, me generation. Let's hope the majority of the people don't believe the garbage these people were saying.

One of my fave responses was "We gotta thin the herd somehow...hope they all kiss headlights." ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!

Seems like a pretty good idea to me. Probably wouldn't hurt older drivers to re educate themselves as well.
