I work Mondays also Cal, so you are not alone.

Spent Sunday attaching the leads for my two heated vest liners (rider/passenger). Wow! What a hassle to connect these! What should have been a few minute job took a bit longer than hoped; however I completed it.

The vest came with various fuses in case I add more heated clothing; which was handy.

I now have four leads on each terminal for the battery tender, air horn, and two vest leads. That's about all anyone can possible get on there given how little room there is with the cover they use on the battery. Later I might try to see if there is anything out there that would make connecting the leads a bit easier. I have an idea of what I am looking for and would bet someone makes it.

Hooked-up the vest to check it out... Very nice... the heat it puts out is going to be welcome when it gets colder. Looking at the temps for this weekend, with a high in the low/mid 70's this weekend, I might get to try them out in the morning and late evening hours to take-off the chill.

We should have another great weekend to ride here in the Midwest...

Having new tires mounted this week, Commander II's, so I plan on doing a lot of riding this weekend to break them in :-)

Ray's situation must have been a bit worse than I suspected for you to get worked-up Sally... since you usually remain fairly low-key!

Glad it wasn't my "doing" on Ray's bike... I would have to contend with your "kicking" and I am fairly sure it would be painful!

Now that made me laugh out loud! The thought of Sally saying that just goes to show you have watch out for the quiet ones.

Whoops, didn't mean to get you 2 fired up about Mondays! Thought the posting was 'today' when I read it on Monday. I might have been a little jealous.

Just ordered some dynabeads - still need to get that front tire changed out. Think I'll go double darkside this time.

Later... C

Well... 58 degrees out this morning, with an expected high of 82, with low humidity.

A perfect day for long ride; my third straight Sat for a long ride with the most perfect weather one could hope for in the Midwest. August has been an unusually great month for this type of weather.

Will head toward the Mississippi River, along a more southern-route than I usually take -- following the Rock River. This route is not particularly a "twisty-route" (for the most part); however it is a relaxing ride. Should total about 300 miles today, unless I change my mind mid-route.

It is too bad some of us live too far away from each other to take some of these rides. Would be great to meet-up with a few along the way.

In two weeks, I will be meeting Gibby (and hopefully Stretch) for our annual Labor-Day ride. That particular ride is for those liking to ride all day; as we stop for nothing but fuel and occasional stretches. We cover as much ground as possible on the ride... and have found some really great roads along the way. Hopefully, the weather will hold-out.

Rayski... I hope you get your bike fixed soon buddy. You would like today's ride, especially the stop at Poopy's, and Scenic Ridge Road.

Everyone ride safe today!

It was a beautiful day for a ride, I and 9 other Twin Cities Victory Riders headed south to Spirit Lake, IA to the American Victory Rally. Lots of cool customs and hot girls on the shores of Lake Okiboji. Sun shine all day so my head looks like a tomato. Had a great time.

Sounds like that was a great run. I assume that is a fairly large rally for Vic...?

Any news on the '14's for Victory? Shorter bikes maybe?

Our ride was great yesterday. It was one of those days where there were more bikes out than usual. I quit waving after a while... it was getting ridiculous, so I only nodded -- otherwise I would have ridden one-handed most all day.

Face is burnt also...

Went on a ride yesterday to break in my new tires, Commander II's, wow, what a difference :-) Did get stung by a bee in my neck then two places on my shoulder. Wouldn't be a complete riding season if I didn't get stung at least once. Going out for another ride right now, love this weather!

Nothing better than a new set of tires...

As mentioned... this weather is unbelievable here in the Midwest. Hope it lasts through October, but who knows.

Saw some of the maple-trees starting to turn orange already... a few weeks sooner than usual. Should be a great fall for color.

It is "THE" Victory Rally. Spirit Lake is where the Victory's and Indian's are assembled. Factory tours, demo rides and the special Kool-Aid are all available Lots of vendors for custom parts and a custom bike show that includes many makes and models, but as you would think mostly Vics. Usually at least one of the Ness clan is there but I did not see any this year.
This year there were many more Harley riders checking out the Vics and Indians than in years past, must be the interest in the new Indians! It is a fun way to spend the day.

As for the 2014 Victory's, they were introduced a few weeks ago and are still for us big kids

Jen, if I was a wealthy man I would have new tires every 3 thousand miles.
