Cats know when you don't love 'em and they will make you pay. I can understand why some people hate cats, but it's usually just another form of ignorance and pedjudice. Once you are owned by a cat little adventures like this are par for the course. Cats rule.

Frankly, I think cats suck. Neither of my dogs is dumb enough to try and climb inside a bumper, even if they could fit in there.

Maybe they were smart enough to chase the cat up into there.

Sometimes cats will get in the engine compartment too, to keep warm. It usually doesn't end well.

I lived outside of Edmonton in a rural setting at one time. Cat's, both domestic and what became "wild", weren't an uncommon site and were popular for control of mice. In the winter, the cats would climb up under the hood of the car to keep warm. More than once I heard of where a cat got caught in the fan belt when the car was started. I got in the habit of banging on the hood of the truck/car before getting in and starting the vehicle. Then I would just give the ignition/key a partial turn to just give the crank a partial turn to help startle any cat that might be under the hood. More than once I had a cat come scrambling out. I was lucky to never have to remove an animal.

There are lots of wild or "feral" cats here in the Phoenix area. Since it has been so cold at night the past few days they have been cautioning people about feral cats that may crawl up under the hood for warmth.

Hey, hey, guys - I don't remember stating I hated cats. I don't. I just prefer dogs.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that old, lonely women always seem to live in a trailer with 57 cats. ::)
