Sam no longer takes parts orders. From what I've heard on the Delphi forum, the discount is a thing of the past.

Mac, this is one of the things that pisses me off about eBay. Some guys try to make all their profit in shipping, not in the sale of the item. I will not buy anything from eBay if I feel I'm getting gouged on the shipping. I don't care what the item is, or how bad I want or need it.

I agree with CJ.
I see a trend starting here and it scares me. ;)

Mac's whine..

Well I don't do e-bay. it is just too much problem for me. I bought a exhaust there in 2000 for Liberty and saw the cut thraot bs at ending time, I still won the bid. I sold 2 silver pieces and didn't like the pay pal deal.. I just stopped.

I was away all day and no word from SAM. If that is a done deal it is...

No matter what if no fender can land on my door step for 400 max, then I will just hammer and dolly the dents, and buy some paint.. paint the whole bike.

300+ for a fender is looney anyway. I can make a fender for far less and paint it still and beat that kind of price.

A 4x4 sheet of 20 ga is around 29 bucks. A paper pattern of what ever i want can be made and with that i can make it in steel.

I was looking for a right fender for a reasonable price and I won't pay 1 cent more than 400 shipped. Really that is double what it should be... No bike fender is worth any 200 bucks in the first place..

My local dealer wants 530ish too. screw that.... I was born helpless, but I ain't no more.

Mac you could also try Beartooth Kawasaki. If you are a forum member there http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/index.php they offer discounts as well as to veterans. I found there shipping prices very good.

I am not a Bear tooth guy, but will check em out. Nothing yet from SAM, don't Know if she even got my e-mail. Today looks real busy, so I am not sure I will get time to try and call her.

And if I end up fixing the bike and painting it, the savings just may go into some other fire arm. I have 3 paint guns. One is dedicated to primer, another is dedicated to a large color, and the last is a touch up gun, used to paint smaller parts or design, like Liberty is.

I'ld like a .62 cal jager rocklock pretty good..

No, but I will.. These fenders run from 372 and change to 532, which is nuts! Then shipping is wacked.. The Beartooth folks want 396 and change and i don't know if that counts shipping which I asked..

I asked the cost to my door giving the state and zip...

I will pay 400 bucks and not a cent more to get a green and silver fender, and still consider I was robbed.

I can fix this if i want too bad enough, but i won't paint the factory scheme if i do.

Each side near the bolt on bracket is bent and the fender top forward of the light bars is all mucked up, but I can fix it

I could build a whole fender from NAPA steel if i wanted too bad enough too, and probably not spend over 200 cash for paint to do the whole bike and the steel. Time don't count.

I made more maple today too and time don't count there either but if it does this quart is worth 6 hours time!
This is just robbery.

It doesn't look that badly damaged that it couldn't be straightened out. Either try to fix it yourself or see how much a bodyshop would charge to fix it and paint. It may be a lot less than buying a new fender.

Yeah Ring, I could fix it. The spot weld in the fender to bracket are cracked, there is a matching wrinkel on each side just head of the the mounting brakets, a lot of scuffed paint from pulling the bike out from under the jeep bumper. Most of the damaged was caused by 6 guys pulling the bike out from under that bumper.

Before I shell out 500 bucks I will fix it. I wanted to replace it and hang it on a wall. It ain't every day something like that happens and you get to ride the bike home that very night ya know?

I do woork like this all the time. So if I must in Fall I will fix that fender, and paint the whole bike. If the dam bike would just talk to me I would have painted it to be something else already.

The point is no fender is worth any 500 bucks. A fender for my truck is 60 a fender for my VOLVO was 75. both in primer, not finished paints, but still......

This has me so hot, Once I do fix it I might sell it, and find another bike with realistic prices or just build one.

This is just legal theft. I understand the price of a thing is what those willing to pay will buy of course, but I have a tin ashtray I will take 2 grand for, it might be worth 50 cents...

I got Liberty which I am sure everyone is sick of seeing by now off a scrap heap in a auto junk yard.. The 1981 yammi xs850sh I have...

I sunk 1,500 buckos into that, and consider it worth it, I put a lot more on that bike than paints anda a fender for that dough too....

To me a bike fender in paint from the factory might be around 200, maybe 250, but not 500...

For 500 I can select a good number of .45 colt Govt models, and that might be worth 500 bucks. A little machine.

This fender is nothing more than 2 steel stampings spot out of a press, and a robot spot welds the 2 pieces together. Another robot mists on paint, and that robot ain't all that great at painting in the first place.

I have seen a lot of bikes and a lot of Nomads and the paint on Nomads ain't that great if you look hard.

It's ok, but not great... The under side of these fenders leaves a lot to be desired too if you ask me.

Over all these are nice bikes, but many details were skipped and 10 g's is a lot of money if you ask me..

But I am the TFI King...

So far the best new fender is 420 shipped.. I don't like that much. I might do it, but if so I will need a rubber stamp and ink my forehead 'SUCKER'

I say don't do it! Make yourself a new fender, paint it, bolt it on to the bike and call it a 1600 Custom. One of a kind.
