The Crooked Road

Anyone heard of the "crooked road" in Virginia? 300 mile run through 10 counties. Several stops along the way where they have music festivals. I am in Virginia working out of Lynchburg and am seeing some beauriful country and some fine places to ride. Will be coming back on the bike. Just wondering if anyone knows this route.

The part of it I rode on in a car this past weekend would be awesome on a bike. I didn't realize I was on it til you asked and I looked up what you were talking about. That's about all I know about it.

Been on a lot of it. Great riding but then all over the VA/WV/TN/NC area is great riding. There is also a great Zip line (s) place in Galax.

I, too have ridden the area. There are plenty of scenic roads around NC/Va/WV. I will be heading through Va mountains going to Gettysburg, Pa this week. I am leaving Wednesday, 11th and returning home on the 21st. If anybody is in the area, maybe we can hook up and do some riding.

Hey Bud2rat, this might be too late, but I live in the Waynesboro, VA area. That's where the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Skyline Drive begin. If you are coming thru this area, give me a call at and we can try to meet up. Ride safe. I sent you a PM with my Phone #.
As for the Crooked Road area, I've read about it but have never been there.

Ross, do you zip line?
Cindy and I went to the one at Greek Peak ski resort yesterday.
What a riot. We also did the mountain coaster a few times.
Rode the bikes there and back.
What a great fun day.

TC, have once, hooked! I am headed to a place that offers a 1/2 day of tree top hanging trails and 5 zip line hiking 2 weeks after the rally in PA.
