Vn 1500 Air Shocking Balancing

We all know on the Nomad that adding air on the left shock is a pita with the bike on the stand. Balancing the 2 is even a bigger pain. The Progressive balance kit is out of production but that is the kit. I had the T/Schrader valve and lines from an old set of shocks I once had on a dune buggy. Just had to have the parts for the shock tubing connections. Progressive still sells parts to do the total job.

Started with the Schrader valve replacement kit. This is listed as being for the Honda air pump. Denise Kirk shipped is $31 and change.

The Idea is to replace this valve with the air tubing nipple.

Valve has been replaced with the tubing nipple. Left shock is moved to the right side and right to left. Allows for tubing to be hidden behind the hard bags.

The T/Schrader for the two air lines was hidden in a void under the left side fender rail, plenty of room to put it there. Given the chance to do the drilling over I would have put it on the right side of the bike due to kick stand lean.

Picture isn't clear but you can is the left shock tubing and the Schrader valve in place.

I set the shocks on 35# of air at 8 o'clock last night and they are still there this morning so hopefully no leaks. It was so easy to set the them I did it 5 times just playing.
