Hello everyone,
I’m from Bowie, Maryland Been riding since August 2017 yes that is right 2017, that makes me a year old rider at age 56. My first bike ever was a 09 Honda Shadow Aero, after 1000 miles found that I needed something bigger, I didn't think it was going to be as HOT as it is but I'll get used to it. In March 2018 I purchased a Yamaha Royal Star but it was full of problems so I returned it and got my money back, it wasn't easy. Anyhow, the very HOT bike is a 2013 Metallic Titanium / Metallic Spark Black Nomad. I still have a little bit of hiccups here and their but i'm working them out. In the near future I plan to take a trip from Maryland to San Diego and across the border. I will be doing a lot of reading in this fine Forum and maybe ask a few question down the road. The bike is not Ivanized so I hope someone will convince me to do it. Good day everyone and safe riding while embracing the curves. Login or Register to Remove Ads

Welcome and congratulations from Eastern Iowa.

Ivanizing is a must. When the 2nd Vaquero came home, the ECU came out and went to Ivan that same week. Lesson learned from waiting 6 months on the first Vaq.

Welcome from hot, humid, but not hurricaned (whew) Virginia Beach. Watch for idiots, leave plenty of room to brake on your monster bike and have a blast.

Welcome Alabama. Ivans ECM reprogram is not a "do it or you must die" thing but I wouldn't own the Voyager without it now. It smoothes the engine out and makes it ran the way Kawasaki had wanted it to. To us riders who have done it I think we are all in agreement that it is money well spent.
