Big Red rides again!

With temps forecast in the mid 50's up to 60° this week Big Red is waking up from her winter hibernation. Spent a few hours today getting her ready to ride and plan on riding every day this week after work. Fortunately I store her at my work and can wash the salt off after riding this time of year. Hope many of my NCR brethren can also get in some riding this week. Ride safe everyone, cagers are NOT used to seeing motorcycles this time of year.

Glad to hear that. Be careful and enjoy. I've been prepping mine this afternoon. New brake lines, clutch lines, and all fluids. Didn't finish today, so I will finish tomorrow and maybe get in a short ride.

When I read the title I thought it was about our BigRed.

Ride safe. Hopefully the winter is over.

Happy Resurrection Day Mike! I've been riding almost every weekend! Was 85 today!

Ha, ha. Me too. I wasn't sure where I was riding and why I didn't know about it.

Seems like you are having better weather than I am here. We saw a high of 40 yesterday and only mid-30's today.

We will peak-out each day next week in the low 50's, but the majority of the day will remain in the 30's. It's rideable, but still chilly.
I am going to avoid riding until the salt is washed off the roads. It is really bad around here. The roads are pure white like the Bonneville Salt Flats.

While I appreciate the road-crews' efforts; they seem to have over done the salt this year -- as if they have a quota of salt they need to use whether it is needed or not. I am assuming it is a department budget "thing". In other words; use all the salt or else we cannot order as much next year.

Maybe next weekend.
I am at work right now and just finished putting a carpet kit in my saddlebags. The temp is 36 degrees and it is sunny out so I am getting dressed and going for a ride, cannot wait another day!

Had a great ride, 130 miles and hardly a water puddle. Had to wash the bike real good though with all the salt dust I kicked up. Hope others in the Midwest were able to get out for a ride today.

Good to hear the thaw is happening Gibby. Krystal actually got a ride in yesterday. First time in over a year for her.
