Just my personal opinion, but I am not sure if I would trust a 900 lb motorcycle on a lift that is rated for 1000lbs. I have a J&S jack and it is one of the best investments I have made for the bike. I am able to roll the bike around my garage with no concerns about the thing falling over. Yes it does cost $400 but I wouldn't even want to think how much damage, forgetting the possibility of injury, that the bike would incur if it fell. As I said, just my 2 cents.

This is actually a full lift table not just a jack they are a really sweet pieces of equipment to have. I have had one now for 5 years and can't imagine working on my bike without one.

I have only seen it in use when I went to Chucksters place and he used it to lift my bike as we tore it down to create the Vaquero Hitch. Worked great!

I have that same lift table and really like it. One thing you want to make sure of is when you use it, after you jack the bike up and slide in the safety bar, make sure you lower the table back down until it rests on the safety bar. That way all the weight is being supported by the safety bar and not being supported by the hydraulic cylinder. if you get in the habit of leaving the pressure on the cyclinder you will end up wearing it out.
One other thing, you can also go online and print out harbor freights 20% off coupon and use it on top of the sale price of $299.00. Don't let them tell you that you cant because you can. when I bought mine I asked one sales guy and he said I couldn't use it, I asked him if he was sure because someone else I knew was able to. he went and asked another guy and the guy said "yes, you can use it". he went on to say that while the coupon does say it cant be used on the motorcycle "Jack" that it DOES NOT say it cant be used on the motorcycle "LIFT", so yes you can use it. When I checked out at the register it wasn't even a issue. So I ended up paying about $240.00 for mine. Worth every penny. Oh, there is one other thing, the wheel vice SUCKS on this lift. I ended up buying one of those ride on wheel chocks that was on sale at the Harley shop and mounting it to my lift. Now I can ride it up and step right off of it.

heres a couple of pics of mine, one is when I first got it before changing the wheel clamp, you can see how cheap the clamp is in the picture. Also you can see where I added the wooden boxes on each side to give me foot room as I'm riding it on and taking it off. trust me you need something like that.

I use one for my Voyager, works fine. I just push mine on, clamp the front tire and add some straps to provide a little peace of mind.
