What are these?

Curious as to what these are. I don't have a shop manual yet for my 2011 Vaq, but I am wondering if these are used for anything or if they can be removed and used to mount something to. There is one on both sides of the handlebars.

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure exactly. There's one on the other side of the handlebars in exactly the same place. Just didn't want to start messing with it if I shouldn't be but was wondering if that can be removed to mount an accessory to.

Also, if you remove 'em, make sure you exert extra down-force before you turn 'em. They strip very easily and are a bitch-kitty to remove afterward.
