I am pretty sure I see 2 welds. The left weld on the left side of the bike holds the foot peg bracket. On the right in the same series of pics I see a welded in tab that adds the width needed to catch both oem bolt holes.

I am at a Business Client Site Presently fixing their Computers and Network so I can afford my Toys and be able to take time off in summer for my many Motorcycle Trips.

When I get back Home I will go to my Cold Garage to measure Bracket if it is not too late -- Presently 8:45pm up here in Canada and Cold.

Great for long trips.

When I stop at a gas station I usually pour a bottle of water and ice from the pop machine directly into the mug. Keeps it nice and cold all day.

Works well w/coffee and soda too. But I mainly use it for water when riding.

The mug doesn't wobble or sway, stays nice and firm in the holder. Note how high the mug sits in the holder. Makes it easy to grab and it rides high enough that the bottom of the mug easily clears the tank and everything else. The picture is deceptive it easily clears everything.
I like it, but have had no luck finding it. Did you get it online or in the store at Walmart? Maybe a link would help me. Thanks.

Hi Mac,

I am at Home and quick Measurements show that the Plate is 9.5 Inches Long, .25 Inch thick, 2.5 Inches wide -- with lower Corner where Clevis is welded cut off at an angle -- Yes the part at the Rear has a Tag to catch the top Mounting Bolt -- The Clevis was created by Howard as well as the mounting Plate

I got mine at Wal Mart for $5 a couple years ago. Here is the closest I found without spending a career looking. Price is up to $10. Ebay has a bunch of colored ones as well.

Riding together to Estes Park Rally

Hi Blueraven,

My friend Howard is not going to Estes Rally as he has promised to take his Wife to Vancouver via their Truck at that time of Year.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario -- where do you live? I am going to Darkside Rally May 16,17,18 held in Franklin, NC on my 2006 Goldwing 1800 -- I have yet to finalize preparation for Estes Rally on my Nomad 1600.

My Wife Theresa is going to the Darkside Rally with me but she will not take the longer rides on my Nomad as she is spoiled by the comfort of the Goldwing.

When I ride my Nomad I like to run tank to tank and it has a range of 300 to 350 Kilometers per tank easily. (400Km at 56Mpg Canadian)

I don't travel much over the Speed Limit as I have all my points and don't want any tickets -- I have CB Radio on three of my Motorcycles to make it easy to communicate with others when riding together.

I like to ride 600 to 800 Kilometers per day and find it hard to find anyone that will keep up. Also I use Car Tires on Rear on all (4) of my Motorcycles so always know my Tires will get me on long rides to destination and back.

The Ride to Estes Park from Ottawa and back will exceed 6,100 Kilometers Plus the riding when we get there.

If still interested in Traveling together let me know.

Norther Dancer,

Ron

I am adding the DIY Crashbar Lowers and Fork Lowers to this thread to keep the cheap stuff in one place. Maybe we can collect enough usable stuff here to get it pinned for all to use.

Crashbar and Fork Lowers - PDF patterns available if you PM me your email address.
