As recumbentbob and others have indicated, the link you showed works fine on 1600 Nomads with 1600 tanks and pumps. I think you are talking about 2 different fuel pumps here.
Hammer I have an 02 1500 nomad. I put an 07 1600 nomad motor in 08.
The tank is on 02. The pictures of the pump I posted is like mine. I’ve changed the pump once.
New pump should be here today.

At this point you will just have to wait and see what components in the new kit you can use. You can also contact Quantum if it doesn't work out at all.

I have taken fuel pumps off a few vehicles where just the pump body and new filter needed replacing. Denso, Bosch, Mitsubishi look very much the same to me. The filter on yours looks like it probably has an automotive cross reference. Actually the whole pump assembly looks pretty automotive.

Got the new pump. It looks great. Size is good as I remember. I'll pull the tank tomorrow and put it in. Just for kicks I hooked up my fuel pressure gauge and submerged it in a bucket of gas. It pumps 100lbs +.

Hope it goes well. Smart testing the pump first.

The new quantum pump fit in the mount as the old one. The only problem was the pickup screen was different. Had to improvise to replace it. I’ll send pictures.
One pic is old screen showing debris clogging some of it.
Before and after pictures. Old pump was weak. 70 lbs and varying.
New pump was over 100 lbs. bike runs better and idles more smoothly.

Modifing screen connection. It was a larger opening so I had to make an adapter.

After riding 150 Miles I can report a definite improvement in the way it runs.
Either the pump was getting weak or the screen or filter were partially plugged.
Either way, if your bike is idling funny or not responding to throttle response then I think checking the fuel pump is in order.

Comment and bump here, to add good info. to this thread; this is what I would do. If you read up on fixing plumbing, you're always suppose to use silicone plumbers grease on rubber o' rings etc.; never Vaseline, they say it deteriorates the rubber. So I'd like to suggest always using silicone grease. It's in the plumbing section. I always keep it on hand for lube on any kind of rubber. The tiny tub of it is about 3 bucks, but a little goes a long way. Just food for thought lubing rubber o' rings n' stuff. Hammer, you are a great mechanic. Thanks for this great post.
