scroll down on page 2 and there is a link to his maintenance log.

Sadly Quinten has passed away.
So the general opinion that adjusters should be fitted at around the 35-50,000 mile mark, was bullshit then.I sometimes wonder if we dont all just repeat the same crap that others have posted.I am as guilty as the next bloke.

Yep

That is why you need to pull plug sleeve and look for chain rub marks.

No chain rub, no need for the adjuster extensions.

What MAS Said! I just normally unscrew the pot off the adjuster and see how much of the shaft is still visable....do it at least 2 times a year.
Thay way when she starts getting long in the tooth, I'll then pull the plug tube....
MAS is right, just don't throw them in just for shits and giggles, wait till you need them.
I only change them when needed....but I start looking at that adjuster shaft at about 45,000.....and keep a eye on it till it needs it.
I've seen a couple of guys need it at 47,000 but they road the crap outta them....I've also seen then last till engine rebuild time, if the owner oampers them....

I did mine at 60,000 kms and one adjuster had no travel left. The other one had a couple of clicks left on the mechanism.
