Drivers backrest & Hwy pegs are a must for long trips. Right now Kuryakyn "Sound of chrome" stereos are being sold new for $169.00 on ebay & amazon, that's almost 1/2 of what I paid. And if you do take trips on your bike a GPS is quite handy. Magellan has a couple models that have a headphone jack, most brands have Bluetooth.

Hey Johnny Y, how is the Kurayakin Sound of Chrome stereo? Good sound even at high volume? I have pretty loud pipes. Will I still be able to hear it without distortion?

Just want to say welcome, I've been a owner of a 1600 nomad for almost three years now it is by far the best bike I have ever owned, easy customization, and just fun all around. look forward to seeing you on the road.
