when I had my '04 1500 Classic, I had a solo backrest from Grasshopper,
it does have some flex to it and it is fixed position http://www.grasshopperlimited.com/kawasaki/

i bought a garmin zumo 550 2006 , it can play mp3 tunes from an SD card, I have never listened to music when riding as yet but planning a trip in 2018 Boston to Buffalo and hope to be entertained while doing dodgem-cars on I-90 with my 2 new fiamm car horns

I'm considering buying a grasshopper rider backrest for my 06 Nomad . Would having a backrest make the stock seat more bearable

The combination of highway pegs and a backrest will make riding so much more enjoyable.

As others have said, pegs and back rest a must. I would also add handle bar risers, mine are 2 1/2 inches I think. I also rolled by bars forward to put my hands and shoulders in a more comfortable position. Chucksters makes a good set.
