East Texas ride

Took several days off and rode from Fort Worth to Palestine, TX in East Texas. Great roads, reminds me of eastern Tenn. Rode from there to Shreveport, LA to shoot some craps then back to Fort Worth. Cool mornings and warm afternoons, did 650 miles over three days, a nice comfortable pace.

Getting her broken just right. What an improved ride from my old 800 Vulcan!

Great pictures. Except for the signs the road reminds me of the Natchez Trace. Thanks for sharing.

Ridden through those very roads many times......You need to ride FM 315 between Chandler and Palestine. If you would like some other good riding roads in East Texas, visit my website. I have a list of ETex roads that are just begging to be ridden.

Dan lives in the same town I do and I've never seen the bike or him around. Guess I need to PM him.

East Texas ride

Robert, I did ride FM 315 into Palestine from Athens on Hwy 175. They repaved 315 this last summer and it is a spectacular ride. FM 323 southwest out of Palestine is almost as fun a road. I rode it to Hwy 294 to Alto, that is where most photos are from, then Hwy 21 to north on FM 225 through Looneyville to Henderson. Then on to Shreveport. I am ready for another ride if the weather will co op.
