can't believe the difference
well, I finally took the highway pegs off my vulcan 750 and switched them over onto the nomad. I had a set of kury iso dually's . I waited, cause on my 750 it really didn't make that big of a difference. But oh my lord did they really help the ride on the nomad. I did a ride up the the mackinaw bridge this past week, day one was starting at 9AM, didn't get off the bikes till 9PM. just stopping for gas, dinner and the occasional scenic overlook. I was comfortable all damn day. normally I'd come to a stop light, stand up, stretch ect. no need! day 2 was straight shot home, 930 to 330, just stopping for gas and a drink. Between the pegs and my back rest. it's like riding a new bike. Kicking myself for not doing it right from the start. I never would have guessed they would make that much of a difference..

Sometimes small things make a big difference, being comfortable on the bike makes you enjoy it that much more when your out riding. Often Ive waited to do something and then once its done I kick myself for not having done it a lot sooner.

Only in the past couple of years have I needed them(don't have them yet). I'm 45 now and getting old perhaps, but on long days I find my knees aching and I stretch them out of the top of the crash bars for some momentary relief.
I'll have to find some. |

You will find your sweet spot. I have mine set so I can have my heel on the foot board. I can stretch out a bit more and put the arch of my foot or my heel on the pegs.

I'm envious, I love the mackinaw bridge and the UP, been over 6 years since I've been up there. Great country.
Did I mention smoked white fish??

U.P. equals the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It does have some beautiful sights. I spent a year and a half near Sault Ste. Marie while I was in the Air Force. The winter was not much fun!

Highway pegs are a must for me. With bad circulation (blood clots and sciatica) getting my leg straight and up on the highway peg is something I have to do as soon as I get out of traffic. Thats one of the main reasons I bought the Nomad, for the comfort factor.
